Single-tenant Org Transition Planning

Administrators of single-tenant, dedicated, or standalone installations don't need to take any action.

No preparation is necessary.

Transition plan

The default setting of the tunable turbine_api_feature_migrate_projects_to_orgs=false is intended for single-tenant deployments.

This setting influences the creation of the parallel hierarchy in Hydrolix v6.1.

Subsequent sotware releases during the transition stages complete the construction of this hierarchy.

In a future release, this second hierarchy becomes the Org hierarchy.

Administrators of single-tenant clusters don't need to do anything.

Result

At the completion of all transition stages, a single-tenant cluster will have:

• a primary Org holding all of the projects
• all users are associated with the primary Org
• a new Org for the administrative hydro project
• a new Org for the read-only sample_project project
